Education
We support the next generation of built environment professionals, planners, researchers and innovators in creating a more inclusive and accessible world.
We work with colleges and universities to promote accessibility and inclusion through study visits, project collaboration and practical learning opportunities. Students gain insight into the barriers that can exist across transport and the built environment and are encouraged to explore how design and innovation can contribute to positive change.
We welcome collaboration with students and researchers working on projects related to transport accessibility and the built environment. The Centre can be used as a testbed for projects and as a space to gather feedback from people with lived experience.
User Testing & Co-Design
Meaningful engagement with people with disabilities is essential to creating solutions that are accessible and effective. User testing and co-design help organisations ensure that products, services and infrastructure are informed by the people who will use them.
The Wayfinding Centre facilitates user testing and co-design activities, enabling organisations to gather feedback, validate ideas and identify opportunities for improvement. Activities can include focus groups, interviews, workshops and usability testing.
As a living lab for innovation, The Wayfinding Centre provides a unique environment where organisations can trial concepts, test prototypes and engage directly with people with lived experience in an accessible setting.
