Disability Equality and Inclusion Training

Training for Transport Stakeholders

Our Disability Equality and Inclusion Training helps organisations build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to create more inclusive and accessible transport services.

Co-delivered by people with lived experience of disability, this interactive training explores the real-world barriers and enablers that shape how people access and use transport. Participants gain practical insight into accessibility and learn how to deliver more inclusive and empowering customer experiences.

This training is designed for transport operators, customer-facing staff in transport services and anyone working in or around the transport sector who wants to improve accessibility and inclusion.

A key feature of this programme is the involvement of our Access Ambassadors.

Through discussion and interactive activities, participants learn directly from people with lived experience of disability. This helps build understanding, challenge assumptions and translate awareness into practical improvements in service delivery.

“The Access Ambassadors are the key to this programme. They make the training real, not just theoretical.”

– Maintenance Performance Manager, Transdev

“The training has given me a heightened awareness around the language used, the difficulties experienced on public transportation and taught me about the importance of the role we play in providing assistance and how to communicate effectively to gain the trust of the person who requires assistance.”
