Expressions of Interest for Youth Forum

Expressions of Interest for the centres Youth Forum. A group of young adults stand and review a book together We are excited to explore the development of a Youth Forum for the Wayfinding Centre, aimed at amplifying the voices of young people with lived experience of disability in shaping inclusive transport and mobility solutions.

The Youth Forum will serve as a platform for collaboration, advocacy, and co-design, ensuring that the perspectives of young people inform policy, infrastructure, and service improvements. The forum will provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities young people with a disability face in navigating public spaces and transport networks.

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals and organisations who share our vision and would like to contribute to the establishment and ongoing development of this initiative. Areas of involvement may include:

  • Co-designing the structure and objectives of the forum
  • Identifying key transport and mobility issues affecting young people with a disability
  • Supporting outreach and engagement with youth participants
  • Facilitating skills development and leadership opportunities
  • Partnering on research, policy, or awareness initiatives

It is envisaged that a Spokesperson will be nominated from the Youth Forum to join the Wayfinding Centre's Inclusion Access Advisory Group.

If you or your organisation are interested in being part of this initiative, we would love to hear from you. Please reply by Monday 7th July to express your interest at info@thewayfindingcentre.ie , and we will be in touch to arrange a discussion on potential next steps.

Looking forward to collaborating to empower young voices in shaping a more accessible and inclusive future.
