The Wayfinding Centre is an innovative space with the aim to make future modes and existing transport journeys in Ireland accessible to all. The centre aims to embed accessibility by placing people with a disability who face daily barriers to accessing transport at the heart of its work.
The facility provides a unique indoor environment where people with access requirements can learn to develop travel skills and gain practical experience navigating transport systems. Through training people can explore different transport modes in a safe and supportive setting.
The Centre is a collaborative space whereby transport staff, built environment professionals, designers, academics and policy makers come together to accelerate an inclusive mobility agenda and innovate with people who have a disability.
Located in the former Smurfit Kappa Printworks site on the Botanic Road in Glasnevin, Dublin. The Wayfinding Centre replicates the real-world experience of using public transport including lighting, acoustics, hazards and the built environment that surrounds public transport.
The Wayfinding Centre is part of Vision Ireland Services, a registered charity.

Amenities
The Wayfinding Centre has been designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors. Our range of amenities supports learning, ensuring everyone can participate in training, events, and day-to-day activities while visiting the Centre.
Training Rooms
Flexible, fully equipped training rooms with tables, seating, screens and audiovisual equipment, to support workshops, seminars and collaborative learning.
Café Area
A comfortable seating area where visitors can relax and connect during training sessions and events.
Changing Places Facility
A fully accessible Changing Places facility with a toilet, hoist, washbasin, adult-sized changing bench and shower. Anyone can use the Changing Places facility during opening hours, we are a registered facility at www.changingplaces.ie
Quiet Room
A calm space for visitors who may need time to rest or regulate. The space includes seating options and sensory equipment.
Dog Spending Facility
A dedicated indoor dog relief area for assistance dogs.
Accessible Car Parking
Convenient accessible parking spaces located close to the Centre’s entrance.
ASPIRE – A Space for Practical Innovation, Research and Experience
A flexible living lab within the Centre that supports research, innovation and learning through immersive testing and co-design. Designed as an adaptable space, it can be shaped to support a wide range of projects and collaborative initiatives.
